Had Trump responded to the pandemic, shut everything down and kept it shut down while bolstering the income of those who lost their jobs to continue their ability to spend money on goods and available services, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in.

People would have been able to get by, the virus would be limited, and recovery would be faster.

Trump is completely responsible. If you're wondering why he picked today to run on about election day, this is one reason.

He's a combination of Herbert Hoover on government inaction and racist Andrew Johnson. 


It didn't have to be this bad. The response to the pandemic was left up to the states and it's been like herding cats without even a shepherd. The one who should have led has been golfing while the economy tanks and 150,000+ have died. The Senate's GOP cowardly turtle and his toadies deserve just as much credit.
