@KARiley40 She shut me down in that 1st discussion. SHE'S THE HR MGR!!!! and acknowledged that we shouldn't be talking about it @ work. So when I went back, I needed to keep it short & sweet. There are many things I could have said & would have said, but I said she should listen to Bernie's words instead of mine. And I knew that Biden's performance in the town hall &/or debates would help her realize she believed something w/out even checking it. She promised she would do her research.
My co-worker & I often talk about trump.
We find ourselves sharing the newest horrible things he has said & done.
So the other day she tells me she's going to write in Bernie Sanders.
The reason? "trump & Biden are not all there, neither one of them."
You can imagine my reaction.
I asked that she Google what Bernie himself & AOC have said about voting for Biden.
Then I suggested she watch the debates or Biden's town hall on CNN.
I'll keep you posted on my progress to WIN BACK THIS VOTE!
I just re-boosted @TonyStark's excellent thread about how we must take action to defeat trump & the GOP.
I took your words to heart & I'm going to volunteer for the Biden campaign.
My training is tomorrow. I'm going to start with texting & see where I'm comfortable going from there.
Thank you for the motivation & the dose of truth.
We must do everything we can to save the country, democracy & the planet.
All can be achieved by voting blue.

I got a flu shot today.
I definitely want to help prevent what doctors are calling a possible “twindemic” of influenza and Covid-19.
So, in order to protect yourself and others:
Get a flu shot.
Wear a mask.
Practice social distancing.
Wash your hands often.
@InternetKevin Got around to watching #socialDilemma It rekindled a lot of feelings I had when I saw #thegreathack over a year ago. That's what initially drove me to get away from centralized social media and find something like mastodon, where I found you great people. @stux @TonyStark I really appreciate the breadth of experiences offered here, which I personally lack. It helps me make bigger decisions I can't possibly make on my own limited experiences.
#Missouri What the bloody blue FUCK is wrong with your Governor?!
Diagnosed on Wednesday, ¤tly under quarantine, yet they plan to hold a public festival at the Gov's mansion in 8 days. Will they be handing out bags of Covidcorn? Go bobbing for bacteria? Maybe have a festive slice of pandemic pie?

A man from South Africa moved onto my street right before the 2016 election. He wasn't eligible to vote then, but when he became a citizen, I helped him register.
He knocked on my door yesterday to announce he is proudly voting in his first election on November 3rd, in person. It's important to him to walk in.
One election won't solve all of our problems, but voting is the most pressing issue we have right now and it is the one that we all need to take part in. Be like my neighbor and #Vote
I still need to watch that, but thanks, Dan! I've only become more committed to putting social media, which has essentially become the public square, borrowing a phrase from a friend, back in the hands of people not seeking to make a profit from it.
US-American politics has a global impact. The help of non-American persons to make this policy better is very important and right.
My workplace is also directly and indirectly influenced by american politics. I very much hope that your efforts are effective. 💪✌️
I help by sharing, asking and like to bring different people together. 😀
Many greetings to you in America!
@TonyStark When I was volunteering for Democrats during 2016, my absolute favorite thing to do was voter registration. I had to push past my nerves and go stand in front of a grocery store for a couple of hours, asking as many people as possible the phrase that's lodged in my brain: "Are you registered to vote at your current address?" It was so rewarding and people were happy to do it, for the most part.
What nobody seems to be talking about:
Due to the increased hygiene awareness and rules, fewer people than typical have been infected with other viral or bacterial infections since March.
"Our influenza season ended pretty abruptly in March. In the southern hemisphere the influenza season has gone almost unnoticed. Most other cold viruses have also become rare." (C. Drosten)
There is a lot to learn and research here.
